Picture the famous Rembrandt painting Jesus in the back of the boat SLEEPING while a storm swirls furiously around the boat. Yet he sleeps! Unlike the struggling disciples, Jesus knew how to sleep. Why not be more like Jesus? Hmmmm....
2. Remind God: The Bible clearly says in the Psalms, "In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat-- for
So, when I wake up in the wee hours, I simply remind God, "You love me. So I will accept your promise to grant me sleep." Try it! Really! "I accept your promise, God."
3. Relish It: Sleep is a gift that recreates our mind, body and souls. See sleep as a joy and not a curse. See sleep, not as missing out, but as enjoying the rest.
Studies now show that great athletes get more sleep than the rest of us. They go beyond even the typical 8. It restores their bodies and souls and makes them active and alert during the day.
