Imagine being at the funeral of a friend. (Call him Joe)
The person giving the eulogy rises and says, "Joe was productive."
How does that strike you? Sure, that's better than them saying, "Joe was unproductive." Or "Joe was idle." Or "inactive." Or "ineffective."
Though productivity, production and products are good things, is there something beyond that? Better?
Frankly, I know some pretty productive "machines!" They get stuff done, make stuff, and forge ahead on projects... but seem to lack something even more important, maybe even spiritual. (And I see it them because I also see it in myself.)
It's this. Fruitfulness. Living and working in such a way as to create abundance, nourishment, wealth.
It's possible to be extremely productive but incredibly unfruitful.

We are His fruit.... Not His product. True?
What might being fruitful look like instead of being productive?
