Do you have any weird phobias?
I do. For some reason, I instantly feel sick to my stomach whenever I smell fish. Cooked or raw. Alive or dead. Just the smell makes me nauseous.
So, no, I won’t eat even the “best” trout, tuna or salmon. Ever since I got violently ill my friend’s mom cooked up the tiny rock bass we caught when I was just ten years old, I have a fish phobia that lives deep inside my brain.
Just like a phobia, you too have things working in your subconscious mind for good or for ill. To help you or to harm you.
Your subconscious mind stores your beliefs, previous experiences and memories that trigger reactions. Everything you’ve seen, thought and done gets stored there. It's guiding you, even when you’re not aware of it.
AND your subconscious, even when asleep, monitors and controls things like digestion, breathing, heart rate and how you sleep.
This part of the brain operates 24/7/365 and its certainly no overreach to say that your subconscious mind has HUGE influence on you every single day.
When awake if also effects things that cause you to react and operate but without us consciously thinking about it or being aware. Your subconscious can ambush you without even choosing. You may become
Can you do something about your subconscious? Can you change it? Positively affect it. Should you?
You CAN deeply affect and even transform our subconscious minds by addressing that part of you.
You can learn to better captain your subconscious.
Think of yourself like a captain on the bridge of a ship. As you signal or order those working in the engine room, you empower them with their bolder, instruments and gauges. You speak to them and they follow orders. The ship speeds up. Turns. Slows down.
Your subconscious you will follow the orders you give based on what your conscious minds tells “them” is true.
So, when you say to your subconscious mind things like
Your subconscious mind listens and obeys. “OK, Captain. I can’t afford it. I will blow it….”
INSTEAD OF JUST ACCEPTING, what if you to intentionally fill your mind with a better message? Speak to your own subconscious and order a new message.
"You've got this!"
"You have what it takes!"
"You are gifted!"
In the Bible Paul wrote,
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”(Philippians (4:8)
Your “Captain Conscious” gets to choose what to belive. Decide and send the message to the subconscious brain and let that become your deep truth:

Make your own list!
