Today we will be tempted to believe that "more is more." We'll hurry around to get "stuff done" because "grass doesn't grow on a busy street." "Time is money." "If I don't do it no one else will."
Yes, there's a balance because we all know that "hope isn't a strategy." However, if you're a leader of anything significant (including your family, your own life...) you may choose to recognize that thinking, reflecting, pondering or praying may just be the greatest way to the greatest good for the greatest number. Reflecting isn't being lazy. It may be the truest work you do today on behalf of your mission.
Like the bumper sticker that says, "Don't Follow Me I'm Lost," many leaders would have to admit to their own fuzzy visioned guilt, truth be told. It's very difficult to maintain momentum when you're wandering without purpose. It's time to bring a more centered you into the mix.
So, take a deep breath break today. Consider what's most important. Don't just do something. Sit there.
