Growing up in a conservative Church, I would regularly hear these phrased piously repeated when it came to issues in our world that were downright confusing, challenging and seemingly without solution:
Frankly, as we all know, what Ferguson and its fallout around the country illustrate is:
Things are NOT good for people who matter.
There really are people in our country who see the justice department as purveyors of injustice.
Things are not getting better, instead getting worse in ways we thought were treated.
Everything! The reason we're in this mess is for a failure of creativity and "ruling well." There's been a "miss" in one community that doesn't get that the justice department is seen as "injustice." There's a miss in another community (or actually a small part of it) that believes that violence, tit for tat or getting even is a way forward.
We need Divine Creativity. But not "God solve this problem." Instead: God equipped us to solve this problem.
There's a need for an army of creative people who take their place and act as:
Easy? No. The only way forward? What do you think?
