Would you want some good news about your brain?
Your brain, that 3-pound powerhouse inside your head, you’re not stuck with it the way it is now. It can improve. Improve a lot!
That’s great news for those of us who, when we’re honest with ourselves, realize we haven’t had the brain we needed to accomplish all we’ve been called to, born for or destined to achieve. Our brain hasn’t been as healthy, vital and strong as we wanted it to be.

You really are fully capable of moving to a whole new level of living your purpose with your God-given brain… which is worthy of an upgrade!
In the next few days even, you can gain some tools to help your brain can become more healed, healthy and clear…. Free from the thinking that gets you stuck.
You can experience both healing and healthy growth in the organ inside your skull that affects every aspect of your life… physical, emotional, financial, relational, financial. Who knew, right?
It’s because while most of us were learning all the things we should put in our brains, we weren’t being taught how to use upgrade our brains. Optimize our brains. Transform them when they were letting us down.
Though your brain moderates the functions of how you live and where you end up, most of us (me included) just assumed we were destined to live with the brain we had.
* You were smart. Or you weren’t smart.
* You were quick thinking. Or you were slow.
* You were creative. Or you were dull and lacked creativity.
I am volunteering to be to be your guide in this devotional experience over the next 7 days for a key reason.
I believe too many gifted, called and significant people in this world inherited what I did for so many years: An undeveloped brain. And with that as the case, there’s an underperformance of potential. And it flows from a core lie that’s easy to believe.
You too have been given an incredible brain with much more to offer. You have SO much more potential. You have greater things yet to do while you’re on this planet. You have a significant calling that matters and if you’re reading this, it’s not too late for you. You still have a heartbeat and enough consciousness to reads.
AND by intentionally deciding to retrain your brain as a daily habit, it can be the best investment you ever make! It just may be what’s keeps what’s keeping you back from keeping you back!
Though neuroscientists once believed the brain was only changeable in childhood, the 20th century studies showed differently. Many aspects of your brain can really develop, form and even become better, even as you age!
Over the last few decades, neuroscientists (brain researchers) have recognized that we actually have the potential to actively and intentionally change our brains! You may have even heard of people who’ve had strokes who recovered the use of limbs and regained functions people thought were lost.
The significant word is called “neuroplasticity.”
Neuro = nerve and nervous system (brain, spine, nerves etc...)
Plastic = adaptable, changeable, moldable.
All to say, your brain and nervous system are moldable!
Retraining your brain is possible, and a way you can recover, remember more and progress to your full potential. Literally, every time you learn something new, you lay down new synaptic connections and wiring. Your neurons grow new pathways and you c upgrade the hardware of your malleable mind. Think of that!
You have the ability to change the organizations, structures and pathways of your brain. You make new adaptations every single day.
Question: Do you want to allow your brain to grow just by happenstance (no plan or focus) , or by intentionally upgrading your brain on purpose?
The Bible calls it “being transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Paul wrote to the Romans, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)
In other words, Don’t just accept patterns of thinking inside your head. You need not allow bad brain habits to wreak havoc, depress, cause anxiety and create brain decay.
Instead, make your own brain transformation a priority. Make your own commitment. Commit to upgrading a brain intentionally… making it a life habit.
